Available in two guide widths:

7-inch for loaves up to 7-inches wide or under. Slicing 3/8 & 1/2-inch bread slices.
To keep the guide from sliding on the counter top as you slice, silicone tabs are on all 8 corners of the guide as shown in the photo.
I personally hand craft all of my bread slicing guides in Lincolnton, Georgia. This guide is made from solid 3/4-inch oak lumber for the side rails and 1/4-inch oak veneer for the bread table.
The 5 1/2-inch guide is designed to cut two different thickness of bread slices, 3/8 & 1/2-inch, horizontally from loaves up to 5 1/2-inches wide or under.
The 7-inch guide is designed to cut two different thickness of bread slices, 3/8 & 1/2-inch, horizontally from loaves up to 7-inches wide or under.
By choosing one side of the guide or the other, you can slice your bread into the thickness the sides are designed to cut. My goals were to make it easy to use, affordable, durable, easily stored and most of all slice straight slices of bread every time.
Videos are available showing the guide being used by going to “You Tube” and searching for “Mystery Lathe.”
A few words of advice in using a horizontal slicing guide:
I have hundreds of my horizontal slicing guides all over the USA and 99% of the people using them are very happy as you can witness in my reviews. After selling close to 2,000 of my various style horizontal and vertical slicing guides I find that if you have issues with the use of your hands to slice bread, I advise you to not buy a horizontal slicing guide, buy a vertical guide. It requires more dexterity to slice horizontally than vertically. BUT........if your hands work........horizontal slicing is the fastest and easiest way to slice perfect slices of your bread. Don't forget that after you use your guide, if you're not satisfied, it can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. The old saying "Practice makes perfect" applies to learning how to use this guide.
IMPORTANT: A bread knife with a blade length of at least 12 inches is recommended for slicing. A shorter knife will not work. Knife not included with order.
Do not place your guide into water or a dish washer. Simply wipe off with a dry or damp cloth if needed.
Can you cut yourself on this guide? Absolutely! Use caution while slicing. Do not allow children to use the guide. Knives are sharp and will cut bread and you along with it. If you think you may injure yourself don't use the guide. Return it for a full refund. I want you totally safe and satisfied.
If you ever have any questions, issues or problems with your guide please call or text my cell phone: 315-868-3453 or email me at "mysterylathe@gmail.com". Give me a chance to make things right. Don't be surprised when I just say hello upon answering. This really is my personal cell phone. I'm 77 and this is my hobby not a money grabbing business.
