Available in two widths:
5 1/2-inch for loaves up to 5 1/2-inches wide
7-inch for loaves up to 7-inches wide

Vertically or Horizontally, slice bread loaves 5 1/2 or 7-inches wide, into 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, 7/8, 1 1/8, 1 1/4-inch thick slices. By flipping the guide over from one side to the other any of the six thicknesses can be sliced. It is easily done with this ultra compact bread slicing guide hand crafted by Mystery Lathe. The construction is out of solid oak hardwood for the frame and 1/4-inch oak veneer for the bread table and stops. To keep the guide from sliding on the counter top as you slice, a silicone pad is included.

Slicing vertically: Rest the loaf on the bread board, insert the bread knife slot thickness you desire and slice. Unlimited to the thicknesses you can slice.

Slicing horizontally: Rest the loaf on its end in the guide and insert the bread knife into slot thickness, any of the above thicknesses can be sliced quickly and easily with this guide.

The base for the vertical slicing options makes a beautiful cheese serving tray.

The slicing guide ships with a food safe silicon mat that is placed under the slicing guide to stop it from sliding on your countertop while slicing. This mat may be used in other areas of the kitchen such as baking or anywhere you want an anti slip mat.

Stores compactly. 2 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 11 3/4-inch size when stored.

The "SIX CUT Guide" is made out of solid 3/4-inch Oak lumber for the sides and 1/4-inch Oak Veneer for the bread tray. Hand crafted by myself in Lincolnton GA.

Take note of the "Box Joints" on the two corners of the slicing guide. They are there for two reasons .... strength and beauty!! This "SIX CUT Guide" guide will last for generations. I use a food safe mineral oil finish to add beauty to the oak. It will dry out with time. To refresh the wood simply wipe on another coat of mineral oil or cutting board oil.

A bread knife with a blade length of at least 12-inches is recommended for slicing. A shorter knife will not work. Knife not include.

Do not place your guide into water or a dish washer. Simply wipe off with a dry or damp cloth if needed.
