Slicing bread is a breeze with this handy guide! Just slice the bread horizontally, up to 7 inches wide, into 3/8, 1/2, or 3/4-inch thick slices. You adjust the thickness by moving the bread tray to different slots. It’s super easy to use and made from solid oak hardwood for the frame and 1/4-inch veneer for the bread table.

To keep the guide from sliding on the counter, silicone tabs are on all corners. Check out my slicing guides on YouTube and search for “Mystery Lathe” to see how they work.

To slice horizontally, just rest the loaf on its end in the guide and insert the bread knife. You can slice any of the three thicknesses quickly and easily with this guide.

The 7-inch model is compact and stores easily. It measures 2 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches when stored.

I’ve added some special “Box Joints” to the two corners of the slicing guide for strength and beauty. This “3 CUT” guide will last for generations. I finish the oak with a food-safe mineral oil to add a touch of elegance. It will dry out over time, but you can refresh it by wiping on another coat of food-safe mineral oil or cutting board oil.

Here are a few tips for using a horizontal slicing guide:

- Make sure the bread is at room temperature before slicing.
- Use a sharp bread knife for the best results.
- Keep the guide clean and dry after each use.

Enjoy your perfectly sliced bread!

I’ve got hundreds of my horizontal slicing guides across the US, and guess what? 99% of the people who use them are super happy! You can see this in my reviews. After selling over 2,000 of my various style horizontal and vertical slicing guides, I’ve learned a thing or two. If you’re having trouble slicing bread with your hands, I’d recommend sticking with the vertical slicing guide. It takes a bit more skill to slice horizontally than vertically. But if you’ve got the hang of it, horizontal slicing is the fastest and easiest way to get perfect slices of bread. Oh, and don’t forget that if you’re not totally satisfied after using your guide, you can get a full refund within 30 days of purchase. The saying “practice makes perfect” really applies to learning how to use this guide.

By the way, I highly recommend using a bread knife with a blade length of at least 12 inches. A shorter knife won’t cut it. And don’t worry, I don’t include the knife with the order.

Now, here’s something important: don’t put your guide in the dishwasher or water. Just wipe it off with a dry or damp cloth if needed.

If you ever have any questions, issues, or problems with your guide, feel free to give me a call or text at 315-868-3453 or email me at “mysterylathe@gmail.com”. I’m here to help and make sure you’re totally satisfied.

Oh, and one more thing: can you cut yourself on this guide? Well, yes, you can. But don’t worry, it’s not too sharp. Just use caution while slicing, and don’t let kids use it. If you think you might hurt yourself, don’t use the guide. Just return it for a full refund. I want you to be safe and happy.

By the way, the finished product is protected with food-grade mineral oil.

And here are the dimensions of the “3 CUT” slicing guide:

Length: 11 1/2 inches
Width: 8 1/2 inches
Height: 2 1/2 inches
Weight: 2 pounds

I hope this helps!
