Slicing bread is a breeze with this handy bread slicing guide! Simply slice bread loaves up to 5 1/2 inches wide into 3/8, 1/2, and 3/4-inch thick slices. The guide’s flexible design allows you to adjust the thickness settings by moving the bread tray into different slots. Made from solid oak hardwood for the frame and 1/4-inch veneer for the bread table, this compact guide is built to last. To prevent the guide from sliding on the countertop, silicone tabs are attached to all corners. Check out my slicing guides on YouTube under the “Mystery Lathe” channel. Slicing horizontally is a snap. Rest the loaf on its end in the guide and insert the bread knife. With this guide, you can slice any thickness quickly and easily. The 5 1/2-inch model is compact and stores easily in a 2 1/2 x 7 x 11 1/2-inch box. The “Box Joints” on the two corners add strength and beauty to the guide. This “3 CUT” guide will be a family heirloom for generations. I finish the oak with a food-safe mineral oil to protect and enhance its beauty. Over time, the oil will dry out, but you can refresh the wood by applying another coat of food-safe mineral oil or cutting board oil. A few tips for using a horizontal slicing guide: 1. Make sure the bread is at room temperature before slicing. 2. Use a sharp bread knife for clean cuts. 3. Experiment by placing the loaf on the cutting surface in different rotations to find what works best for you. Sometimes slicing into the bottom of the loaf works better than slicing into the top. Enjoy your perfectly sliced bread!

I’ve got hundreds of my horizontal slicing guides across the US, and guess what? 99% of the people who use them are super happy! You can see this in my reviews. After selling over 2,000 of my various style horizontal and vertical slicing guides, I’ve learned something: if you’re not comfortable slicing bread with your hands, skip the horizontal slicing guide and go for the vertical one. It takes more skill to slice horizontally than vertically. But hey, if your hands work, horizontal slicing is the fastest and easiest way to get perfect slices of bread. Just remember, if you’re not satisfied after using your guide, you can get a full refund within 30 days of purchase. The old saying “practice makes perfect” applies to learning how to use this guide.

By the way, a bread knife with a blade length of at least 12 inches is recommended for slicing. A shorter knife won’t cut it. And don’t worry, I don’t include a knife with the order.

Oh, and don’t put your guide in the water or dishwasher. Just wipe it off with a dry or damp cloth if needed.

If you ever have any questions, issues, or problems with your guide, feel free to give me a call or text at 315-868-3453 or email me at “mysterylathe@gmail.com”. I’m here to help!

Now, I know some people might be worried about cutting themselves on the guide, but don’t be. Just use caution while slicing, and don’t let kids use it. If you think you might hurt yourself, don’t use the guide and return it for a full refund. I want you to be totally safe and satisfied.

By the way, the finished product is protected with food-grade mineral oil.

And here are the dimensions of the “3 CUT” slicing guide:

Length: 11 1/2 inches
Width: 5 1/2 inches
Height: 2 1/2 inches
Weight: 2 pounds

I hope this helps!
