This bread slicing guide can slice bread loaves up to 7 inches wide into 3/8, 1/2, and 3/4-inch thick slices. You can slice them vertically or horizontally, and the guide can be adjusted to any of the three thicknesses. It’s super easy to use and comes with a food-safe silicone pad to keep it from sliding on the countertop while slicing vertically. Horizontal slicing doesn’t need a pad since there are silicone tabs on all the corners of the guide.

IMPORTANT: You’ll need a bread slicing knife with a blade length of at least 12 inches to use this guide. The guide itself is 8 1/2 inches wide, so the knife needs to be long enough to slice the bread. The knife isn’t included.

Here’s how to use it:

**Slicing vertically:** Place the loaf on the breadboard, insert the knife into the slot thickness you want, and slice.

**Slicing horizontally:** Place the loaf on its end in the guide, insert the knife into the slot, and slice.

The guide is compact and easy to store. It measures 2 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 11 3/4 inches when stored.

The “THREE CUT Guide” is made of solid 3/4-inch oak lumber for the sides and 1/4-inch veneer for the bread tray. The base that allows the guide to be converted to a vertical bread slicing guide is also made of solid oak lumber. It was handcrafted by me in Lincolnton, GA.

I wanted to let you know about the “Box Joints” on the two corners of the slicing guide. They’re there for two reasons: strength and beauty! This “THREE CUT Guide” guide is built to last for generations. I use a food-safe mineral oil finish to add a touch of elegance to the oak. It will dry out over time, but you can easily refresh the wood by wiping it down with another coat of food safe mineral oil or cutting board oil.

Just a heads up, don’t put your guide in the water or dishwasher. Wipe it off with a dry or damp cloth if needed.
