Vertical bread slicing guide

This is the last one of these style guides I have available. Priced to sell.

Pictured is a vertical bread slicing guide for uncut loaves of bread. We are slicing a fresh loaf of cinnamon raisin bread. This style slicing guide (vertical) allows you to keep slicing the loaf without removing the slices of bread. The other style guide I make (horizontal) requires you to remove each slice as you go.

I have to say of the two slicing guides...this vertical guide is not my favorite. My favorites are the horizontal thick and thin guide for $18.00 or for $2.00 more the new adjustable slicing guide. There are also a few left of the old adjustable system for $12.00 and when these are gone their gone. All are listed on this sight. The 3 horizontal slicers will work equally the same as far as slicing a nice even slice of bread.

Slicing horizontally one slice at a time works better. The extra time required to slice a loaf on the horizontal guide verses this one is minimal. The quality of the cut slice is far superior with the horizontal guide. Bottom line, my horizontal thick and thin guide is easier to use and gives great results every time.

The pictures show a loaf of bread that measures 5 1/2" wide x 7" long x 6 1/2" tall being cut into approximately 1/2" thick slices.

The construction material used is 1/2" and 3/4" Birch faced plywood. The 1/4" thick plastic cutting board under the bread protects the Birch surface from being scored by the knife.

This vertical slicing guide is designed to work with a bread knife. Most electric knife blades are to thick to fit the slots used to guide the knife thru the bread.

The sides are easily removed for storage.

The last picture shows both style slicing guides side by side, vertical and horizontal.

It will last a lifetime with proper care. Just clean with a damp cloth. Do not soak with water.
