You are buying the vase featured in the accompanying photographs. Each wood turning is unique in its own way, signed and dated on the bottom.
This large vase was hand turned by me out of a very old aromatic cedar tree found laying on the forest floor near my house in Georgia. The walls are thick and it is heavy weighing slightly over 4 lbs.. When I turn these, I try to leave them with some of the natural occurring defects found in the old wood. This piece has many natural gouge running the length of the vase. You are sure to enjoy this vase for years to come! It will not hold water. It can be used for dry arrangements or simply for decoration all alone. It is a beautiful piece.
My holders are hand turned on my 50 plus year old wood lathe from down cedar trees laying on the forest floor for years near my shop.
I can't guarantee natures work. I can only assure you that when I am working on the wood lathe all the skill and ability I have will go into what nature has provided me. My craftsmanship is in every piece I turn.
