You are buying the bowl featured in the accompanying photographs. Each wood turning is unique in its own way, plus signed and dated on the bottom.
Cracks and wood knots cause problems when working with old dry cedar found on the forest floor as can be seen in some of the photographs of my bowls. You as a consumer have two choices...……..walk away from the piece or accept the wood as God gave it to us to enjoy for what it is. This old cedar is the same as the people we meet every day, not every one of either is perfect.
In one of the pictures there are two very small nicks in the outer surface of the bowl. I bumped it while finishing it. They cover an area aproximently 3/8 " in size. Sorry for both of us.
This bowl was hand turned on my 50 plus year old wood lathe from a aromatic cedar tree that had been laying on the forest floor for years near my shop. It has beautiful color and wood grain. This bowl is exceptional with lots of character. When you hold it in your hands, you will not be disappointed. It will be a perfect addition to your home or office.
I can't guarantee natures work. I can only assure you that when I am working on the wood lathe all the skill and ability I have will go into what nature has provided me.

This bowl was quite a bit bigger, and when I took it out of the box I was impressed with how beautiful it is! I also enjoyed looking around your “shop” : ) and reading what you wrote. I appreciate the cross section of one of your Cedar limbs, sanded so smooth... your little thank you gift! Of course, thank you for the little “Cedar man” too!! I hope others will stop by and check out your site. It’s been fun!
