You are buying the two small bowls featured in the accompanying photographs. Each wood turning is unique in its own way, plus signed and dated on the bottom.
Cracks and wood knots cause problems when working with old dry cedar found on the forest floor as can be seen in some of the photographs of my bowls. You as a consumer have two choices...……..walk away from the piece or accept the wood as God gave it to us to enjoy for what it is. This old cedar is the same as the people we meet every day, not every one of either is perfect.
The bowls were hand turned on my 50 plus year old wood lathe from a aromatic cedar tree that had been laying on the forest floor for years near my shop. They have beautiful color and wood grain. These bowls are exceptional with lots of character. When you hold them in your hand, you will not be disappointed. They will be a perfect addition to your home or office.
I can't guarantee natures work. I can only assure you that when I am working on the wood lathe all the skill and ability I have will go into what nature has provided me.
Finish used: Hand rubbed Walnut oil and bees wax
